Karthik Ganesh is the CEO and Board Director at EmpiRx Health, a category creator and the industry’s only value-based pharmacy benefits manager. Karthik has driven dramatic results at tech-enabled healthcare services companies, resulting in strong exits to strategic buyers and private equity. Karthik has also demonstrated the ability to build great companies that are hyper-innovative and teams that are high-performing, diverse, and resilient.
With a unique blend of healthcare experience across health plan, pharmacy benefit management, provider-sponsored healthcare services, third-party administration, and health data management companies, Karthik has expertise driving disruptive innovation, transforming businesses, scaling operations, building high-performing DE&I-supportive cultures, and directing turnarounds and M&A to drive significant growth and profitability.
Karthik has built EmpiRx Health into a high-growth, high-innovation company, and also the most clinically-advanced PBM in the industry, with significantly increased revenue, EBITDA and brand equity, resulting in its acquisition by private equity. Under his leadership, EmpiRx Health has earned recognition as a multi-year Inc. 5000 company, Certified Great Place to Work, and Deloitte Technology Fast 500 company.
As EVP and COO of QualCare, Karthik comprehensively transformed a provider-sponsored third-party administrator into a tech-enabled healthcare services powerhouse, resulting in its acquisition by Cigna. Prior to EmpiRx Health, Karthik played a critical role in launching and operating CareAllies, a Cigna subsidiary focused on value-based care enablement. His background includes leadership roles at Aetna, Express Scripts, Deloitte, and EY.
Author of The Happiness Model: A Roadmap to Inner Peace, Karthik is a prolific writer and speaker on healthcare issues, leadership, and resilience, and has been featured in leading industry journals and podcasts.
Polina Kogan, RPh, PharmD, is the Chief Pharmacy Officer at EmpiRx Health, driving clinical strategy-through-execution at the industry’s only value-based PBM, with a clinically-focused and tech-enabled approach to bending the Rx cost curve. In her role, Polina is revolutionizing PBM-based care management by directing the industry’s only Rx-driven population health model, that includes AI-based risk profiling and predictive modeling, deep physician engagement, and white-glove complex case management.
Polina has an outstanding track record of transforming clinical operations and building clinical strategies from the ground-up. Her 25-year career spans across PBM, health plan, hospital, and retail pharmacy.
Prior to EmpiRx Health, Polina built and led the pharmacy unit at VNSNY, a leading provider of managed services for Medicare and Medicaid plans. Polina has held leadership roles at major New York teaching hospitals and is an active member of the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP) serving multiple terms on AMCP Committees within her 15-year tenure. She holds a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Florida and a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from Long Island University.
Cathy Ioannidis is the Chief Customer Officer at EmpiRx Health with responsibility for orchestrating a white-glove service experience across members, clients, and benefit advisors, at the industry’s only value-based PBM, with a clinically-focused and tech-enabled approach to bending the Rx cost curve.
At EmpiRx Health, Cathy has comprehensively enhanced every facet of what it means to deliver a data-enabled, high-touch, and concierge service experience, while also ensuring a flawless transition of care and service. On her watch, EmpiRx Health has recorded stellar results across retention, customer satisfaction, and client installation quality, while also building a culture of service innovation and high-performance.
Cathy is a senior healthcare executive with 20+ years of experience across PBM ecosystems with a proven track record of building, transforming, and delivering differentiated client engagement strategies. She has led teams that have serviced both integrated (carved-in) and standalone (carved-out) plan sponsors giving her a unique perspective in an industry that continues to be conflicted by the virtues of one versus the other. Prior to EmpiRx Health, Cathy held client-facing leadership roles at Cigna and Express Scripts (formerly Medco Health Solutions). She has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Muhlenberg College.
Sheit Dhaon is the Chief Financial Officer at EmpiRx Heath, the industry’s only value-based PBM with a clinically focused and tech-enabled approach to bending the Rx cost curve. Sheit is responsible for all aspects of financial strategy-through-execution, in addition to partnering with the senior management team to set the company’s strategic direction and priorities.
Sheit is a healthcare finance leader with extensive experience as CFO at businesses owned by private equity and as well as within divisions of large corporations, with revenues ranging from $100M to $1B. His record includes transforming business for long-term growth and sustained profitability across healthcare services and health-tech companies.
Sheit’s prior roles include CFO of Aetna’s Consumer Health Products division, SVP and CFO at Change Healthcare for their Technology Enabled Services division, CFO for the Commercial division at Truven Health (an IBM company), and VP of Finance at Emblem Health. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering degree and an MBA in Finance.
Jennifer Ferrang is the Chief Growth Officer at EmpiRx Health, the industry’s only value-based PBM with a clinically focused and tech-enabled approach to bending the Rx cost curve. Jennifer is responsible for driving all aspects of strategic business development as EmpiRx Health expands its reach to plan sponsors searching for a differentiated pharmacy benefits management experience that is steeped in financial, clinical, and service value.
Ferrang brings more than 30 years of experience in healthcare to EmpiRx Health. Before joining EmpiRx Health, she was Chief Revenue Officer at Coriell Life Sciences, a leader in precision medicine, with prior commercial leadership roles at Cardinal Health, Quest Diagnostics, and Kaiser Permanente.
She received a master’s in Business Administration from Rensselaer Polytechnic University and a bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration from Pennsylvania State University.
Jennifer is passionate about helping women advance their careers and, as such, she was the Executive Sponsor of the Women’s Initiative Network for the North Chapter at Cardinal Health. She is a past member of AWE (Advancing Women Executives).
Alisia Gill is the Chief People Officer at EmpiRx Health, the industry’s only value-based PBM with a clinically focused and tech-enabled approach to bending the Rx cost curve. Alisia is responsible for all facets of the organization’s talent management strategy while ensuring the execution drives a culture that embodies empathy, equity, belonging, high-growth, and innovation. She is also a strategic thought partner to the CEO, whom she supports by optimizing EmpiRx Health’s management systems and partnering with senior leadership to improve performance.
Alisia is a senior HR leader with extensive experience driving organizational optimization strategies at very complex organizations. Her expertise spans across workforce innovation, talent development, performance improvement, and building management capacity.
Prior to joining EmpiRx Health, Alisia served as the first-ever Chief People Officer at an NYC government agency. This followed a 20-year career at IBM where she held a variety of global roles leveraging her expertise in engagement, culture, strategy, performance, and analytics. In addition, Alisia has held leadership positions in finance — both at IBM and on Wall St., as an economist specializing in Latin America. She holds an undergraduate degree in Latin American studies and economics from Columbia University, and a master’s degree in public policy from Princeton University.
Vivek Dabke is the Chief Information Officer at EmpiRx Health, responsible for technology strategy-through-execution and digital innovation, at the industry’s only value-based PBM, with a clinically-focused and tech-enabled approach to bending the Rx cost curve.
Vivek is a senior IT leader with extensive experience in managing technology organizations and large-scale digital transformations across Fortune 500 and mid-sized organizations, while significantly improving the customer experience across external and internal stakeholders.
Vivek’s background includes senior technology leadership roles at Cigna, QualCare (a Cigna Co.), and Pfizer. Vivek has also successfully built and led a boutique IT consulting firm specializing in Big Data analytics, technology delivery, digital transformation, and cloud migrations, that provided solutions and services across a broad spectrum of industries. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical engineering.
Jaime Dictenberg is the Chief Marketing and Experience Officer at EmpiRx Health, the industry’s only value-based PBM with a clinically focused and tech-enabled approach to bending the Rx cost curve. Jaime spearheads all core marketing, brand, and communications functions with a heavy focus on furthering EmpiRx Health’s mission-oriented brand experience and driving demand for a market-differentiated solution.
Jaime is a senior marketing executive with 20+ years’ experience in the Media, Entertainment and Advertising industries. Most recently, as Senior Vice President of Consumer Marketing at Nickelodeon, she led award winning marketing efforts that drove awareness, engagement, and brand love to some of the world’s most beloved IP. She has a track record of building strategic and innovative marketing organizations, establishing trusted B2B and D2C relationships and building data-driven products that extend consumer lifecycle.
Jaime’s background also includes Consumer Products and Licensing, Sales Marketing, Digital Creative Advertising, Data Analytics and Brand Strategy.
She has a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Marketing from University of Florida.
Hope Gong is Senior Vice President of Strategic Operations at EmpiRx Health, with responsibility for product, analytics, and enterprise risk management, at the industry’s only value-based PBM with a clinically focused and tech-enabled approach to bending the Rx cost curve. Hope’s experience in healthcare spans across product, sales, client management, analytics, and operational roles at high-growth companies. The breadth of Hope’s functional expertise, her deep understanding of the pharmacy benefits ecosystem, and an unfailing make it happen mindset, enables her to seamlessly connect the dots between organizational strategy and flawless execution. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Barnard College, Columbia University.
Nilanjan Chakravorty is Senior Vice President of Engineering at EmpiRx Health, the industry’s only value-based PBM with a clinically focused and tech-enabled approach to bending the Rx cost curve. Nilanjan is responsible for leading all aspects of technology architecture and delivery, including the enablement of a cloud-native digital footprint.
Nilanjan brings a security-first mindset and an excellent track record of delivering solutions across a wide spectrum of technologies, including systems integration, process automation, information management and cloud-based digital transformations.
Prior to EmpiRx Health, Nilanjan held extensive leadership roles at QualCare (a Cigna company) and Pacific Global Advisors (a subsidiary of Pacific Life Insurance Co.), driving end-to-end technology solutions and digital innovation. Nilanjan has a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Calcutta University (India).
Nada Nicholas is Senior Vice President of Business Development at EmpiRx Health, the industry’s only value-based PBM with a clinically-focused and tech-enabled approach to bending the Rx cost curve. EmpiRx Health is also a dominant PBM as it pertains to servicing Taft Hartley plans. In this role, Nada brings her deep experience and expertise in the labor unions space, to lead all aspects of expanding EmpiRx Health’s footprint with Taft Hartley plans across the country.
Nada brings more than 17 years of experience working in organized labor including serving as the Director of Organizing at the National Union of Hospital and Health Care Employees, AFSCME, AFL-CIO, and as a Program Representative at the New York Nurses Association in the Economic and General Welfare Program.
Nada received her Bachelor of Science in Communications from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Master of Jurisprudence in Health Law from Seton Hall Law School. Nada is very passionate about training and leadership development and has served as a mentor for the AFSCME Women’s Leadership Academy and as the Chair for the US Department of Labor’s Joint Apprenticeship Training Program.
